Nevermind the WSOP, check out this tournament result!

Lucky Chances Battle of the Bay

Zinzan finished in fourth place!

A pretty cool week for me, winning a WSOP seat last Saturday night, taking sixth in the Party Super Thursday, 39th in the Friday Special, and busting on the bubble in the 200K when I got all my chips in with AKs vs AT.

I actually decided at the last minute to enter this tournament to prepare for live-play before the WSOP ME. Nice tune-up!

If your name is really Money, I'm not sure that you can lose in the M.E. Good week!

I must say, you have a pretty cool name.

Good to see you outlasted MC Hammer. But I thought he was just Hammer now?

Congrats.

The only guy I saw resembling MC Hammer was on the rail, cheering on Kermit. But I didn't play with a lot of the guys in the final 18, or even really see them, so maybe... I need to talk the tournament director later today, so I'll ask about the Hammer.

Mimi Rogers was there. Didn't get a chance to play with her before she busted out, though.

And yeah, that's really my name. If I'm lucky enough to make a run in the ME, ESPN might pick up on it. Who knows?

In this tourney, which lasted about 11 hours, I never got AA, KK only once, and AK maybe only four or five times. So I didn't get a lot of easy cards to play, and can't complain about my result. As one of the two smaller stacks, I mixed it up with the third place finisher (the smallest stack), calling his push from the button with AT. I actually looked up at the payout schedule while I was thinking, and decided the money ladder dictated I play for top two, not third. Unfortunately, his nines held up.

Change the N in Dean to a D and you will clean up at the WSOP...

Lon: "And at our feature table from San Francisco... Dead Money!"
Norm Chad: "The guy's name is actually Dead Money, that's wild ya know.... [insert crappy norman chad story].. I don't see how he can lose!"

....
Lon: "Dead Money with a huge bluff against the chip leader with 72o... oh no he has run up against AA!!!"
Norman: "Dead money will need to rise from the dead here to win it"
Lon: "The flop is 772... ohhhh my!"
Norman: "He should change his name to Alive Money, get it Lon?!"

Anyhoo, you get the point.
