Will a cheaper used monitor allow 4 tabling? - auction ends soon

I'm considering the first two trinitrons you see, but don't know much(other than I dont want to spend a bunch right now). I'm using an ancient Zoltrix 17" now. Concerned about the diff. in dp .25 vs. .31 from the dell to the IBM. ANY ADVICE CONSIDERED. THANKS - I've got 34 minutes, heh |

Any monitor that can handle 1600*1200 you can fit four tables. I suggest you google the specs to make sure it can do that resolution at 75Hz+. Otherwise it will be tough on your eyes in the long run.

I had a monitor about 3 years ago that advertised 1600x1200 but it could only do that res at 60Hz. I can't look at that for more than a few minutes before I get a headache. 75Hz is the min before I can see flickering but everybody is different. My wife cant see flickering at 70. I sat down at her office PC and noticed she had it at 70 and I couldn't beleve that it didn't bother her eyes. -but my dad swears he can see flickering at 75... so take it for what it's worth. |

I have a Dell 21" CRT that does 1600x1200 @ 75, and I don't see flickering with it. However yesterday I put in my first truly long session (6 or so hours) and I woke up this morning with a headache.
Basically I think from now on if I plan on putting in a long session I'll take a couple tylenol either before or right after. Problem solved. |
