dude buying hand histories on party

anybody see him going through the chats asking for hand histories?

what's his angle? does he not know about observed hands, or is he actually profiling the people he buys hand histories from and selling those profiles?

Maybe he just can't be bothered with datamining. I bought someones PT database for $20 because I needed more stats on people and didn't wanna datamine.

Yeah, I saw this today... No one at my table offered to help him.

This is not good. He comes on ans asks to buy pokertracker databases? So a few fish get curious......get PT, see they are losing players despite their previous denials and either quit or attempt to get better.

Someone shoot this SOB fast!

He's not asking for PT databases, he's asking you to send the hand history text files Party creates. Most fish don't even know they exist or don't care to use them for anything.

yeah $20 for a big observed hands database is something, but it seemed like this guy was on a mission. someone at my table bit and it wasn't a robot or anything-- the guy actually conversed with him and they decided that he'd send him a "PT file" (they said those exact words in the chat). I forget the number but it seemed like the guy was offering quite a bit of money, like $50 or so.

Isn't this against Party's T&C?

Either that or it's against PT's terms to sell databases.

One or the other some rulebreaking is going down, right?

crap, if that's true it might behoove me to try and look through the hh's to find his name and shut him down. though calling party's attention to misuse of pokertracker might cause more problems than a couple of fish realizing they have hand histories.

Take a deep breath. Say 3 X: "It makes no difference."
Repeat.
