NBA: Greatest ever at each position

I liked the recent David Robinson thread, and the discussion on whether Tim Duncan is the best PF ever has got me thinking. You can base this on any mixture of ability and accomplishment that you desire, tweaked by any factors you think are relevant. Here's my list of dark horses for each position (not necessarily my picks, but good for stirring up discussion):

5. Shaquille O'Neal
4. Charles Barkely
3. Scottie Pippen
2. ... This one's locked up
1. John Stockton

As an aside, you can add any current players who you think will crack this list by the end of their careers.

I think the fact that I had to think and wonder who you're talking about in #2 means I shouldn't talk about basketball, ever. (It's Jordan, right?)

5 Wilt (or shaq, no prob with either)
4 Larry Legend
3 Dr J
2 MJ
1 Magic

I'll take on your 5 with these five any day. I'll even toss Magic and add in Oscar Robinson

alot depends on if we are talking about them in terms of their own time frame. Or if its how they would actually do when put up against each other.

john stockton? seriously??

I think it's factors like that that make the discussion interesting. And do you realize how many different stats Stockton has the alltime lead in? By the way these aren't necessarily my picks, Just people who should be in the discussion.

That is seriously pathetic dude.

Yes, it's Jordan. The best shooting guard ever. He should probably hold the #3 spot as well. Pippen does not belong anwyhere on this list, because he was nothing without MJ.
