better chips count?

we play TH'em at my home game and we've been expierementing in number of chips and their values to give players and we've narrowed it down to two selections and I was wondering which way everyone thinks is better. one way is everyone puts in a fixed amount and gets 50 chips and the blinds are one and two chips. and the new way we've been doing it is that each player get 6750 chips but each color has it's own value(*blacks 1000, *blues 500, *greens 200, and *reds 100) blinds are 100 200. I was wondering what ppl thought would be best for a 6-8 player homw game? sorry for typeing so much thanks for your help

In my experience, you don't really need more than 1 or 2 colors if you're playing limit poker. But if you're playing NL or a tournament with an escalating blind structure, then the multiple value chips are needed.
