Party public offering

Given what happened to Jay Cohen, is it legal for US citizens to buy shares in the party public offering?

Owning a piece of a site designed for online gambling.

Thats the similarity I see. If you think it's not valid, just explain why, I'm not saying that I think it is illegal, just want to be sure.

That's not what Jay Cohen was nabbed for. They got him for running the site's day-to-day operations from the US. Big difference.

I think he was living in Antigua, and willingly came back to the USA, knowing he would be arrested and tried if he did, because he was willing to fight the charges, and he lost.
