Vegas trip hand #1

Very first hand of my trip to Vegas in November. An interesting start as you will see.

This hand takes place in a $15/$30 at the Bellagio. I post behind the button and receive 52c. UTG and 2nd UTG limp, I check. SB calls and BB checks. Flop is Ac2h5s. SB bets, BB calls, UTG folds. UTG+2 raises. I make it 3 bets with my bottom two pair. Comments?

SB makes it 4 bets, the rest of us all call!

Turn is Jd. SB bets, everyone calls. Comments?

River is 3h. Everyone checks. ??

I would have played it just like you did. I would have been very tempted to value bet the river, but I suppose it would depend on how the small blind had been playing up to that point. By the way, do you play at turning stone at all?

Your flop 3-bet is automatic here. Unfortunately, the SB has a random hand that could be two pair, aces up. I think you're beaten by A5 or A2 or maybe you're splitting with 52.

Hope it worked out for you.

Like I said, it was my very first hand, so I have no idea how the SB had been playing.

I occasionally play at TS, but I mostly play online.

check!

Hope your two pair held up. The way the action on the flop went you could be up against a set or two bigger pair.
