So much for Phoenix. So much for the whiners who were rooting for their "throwback" style of one-dimensional play.

Looks like basketball was meant to be played with defense after all. So sorry all you 80's romantics, but the Pistons of the late 80's forever changed the game. Defense matters.

I don't think many people that actually watch a lot of basketball (which is like 10 people) thought the Suns were going to win the series. But they still were fun the watch. Plus the Lakers of the 80's also played good defense to go with their O.

It was a good run [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]. Although I'm not sure how being a fan of the Suns' style of play makes us "whiners".

They're still a pretty young team with almost no playoff experience. It could well be that their style still will win championships, they just need to mature.

Learning a little defense probably wouldn't hurt, though.

I thought Phoenix would lose, but not like this.

Bottom line is defense or none, the Phoenix/Dallas-type series are 10X more fun to watch than a Spurs/Pistons series.

I really want Detroit to win the Eastern series.

I think that Spurs/Pistons would be a good series, but the Spurs would prevail, because their defense is just as good as the Pistons', but they have a better offense.

Detroit will win because they pwn shaq.

The Spurs have a good defense, but it is not as good as Detroit's. I'd take Detroit in a 7th game.

Detroit does not have Ginobili. It will be an interesting series, that's for sure. But I'd have to go with San Antonio.
