razz?

Been playing dealer's choice and would like to know where to find any good info on razz. Never played it before and did not find much when I googled it.

The seminal work on the topic is Sklansky on Razz. Now part of Sklansky on Poker.

I'm also told that SS2 has a chapter and it's decent.

Re: razz?

Isn't the chapter in SS1 really a chapter on lowball games in general? I seem to remember there being a lot of detail on 2-7 draw, or something like that, and very little specifically on razz. It's been a while since I've read it, though, so I could be wrong.

Re: razz?

there are 8 pages in SS1 specifically about Razz.

that's 8 more than in SS2.

Hellmuth has a Razz chapter as well, but you know how that sh*t goes.

The Razz coverage from last years WSOP is good and very entertaining.

Edit: I also enjoyed the Kansas City (2-7) lowball coverage. ESPN never aired it on tv, but it can be found on espn360 and probably the WSOP dvd if that is out yet.

Re: razz?

They didn't air the razz coverage? I never saw any coverage of the 2004 WSOP that wasn't on ESPN, but I distinctly remember a very frustrated Howard Lederer showing his hand and exclaiming "Three pair again!" Are you sure?

Oh, and playersare: I wasn't asking about SS1 vs. SS2, I was asking about the usefulness of the SS1 section. Eight pages is more than I remember, which proves my memory is faulty, which could also explain the first paragraph of this post

Ooops! I am thinking about the kansas city (2-7) lowball. That one was great.

You are right, the Razz was aired on tv.

Re: razz?

I definitely saw at least one WSOP Razz episode on the main ESPN channel. I doubt the ratings were high on that though, and I wouldn't blame them if they decided to leave it out for next year's mainstream TV broadcast.
