Limit or NL, multiway or headsup, flop turn or river, big pots, small pots, all pots, do you have any sort of hand, what is the board like?

These all make a lot of difference.

For example, calling headsup on the river in a big Limit holdem pot with second pair is at worst a slight mistake, and only has to be right 1 time in [pot size] to be breakeven.

Calling a massive raise into a small pot in an NL game on a straight flush overcards board (say you told 98 of one suit and flop is AKQ of another) is a fairly massive mistake.

I'm in that club also. Another variant is to bluff when you know you are going to get called.

With me it's a tilt thing. Is it the same with you?

My game up until recently was mostly Sit n' go, These games follow a set pattern and once your in that groove it's usually a smooth ride, win or lose, I never went on tilt.

I being playing some 6 max NLHE, there's plenty of fast action which can easily make me tilt and blow my stack.

What really drives me totally nuts is Heads Up. I'm usually steaming like the Flying Scotsman after my second game. I see this as a great oppertunity to Master my tilt problem. Just play loads of Heads up I'm sure will habituate me to tilt or I will physically explode or something.

Tilt just ruins your game. After tilt, I'm hopeless until the next day.

Because once 6 months ago you caught a guy bluffing.

Just kidding. As someone else already said, the pot size, your hand, your opponent's style, the board - all come into play. It's not always incorrect to call, if the pot's big enough you don't have to be right often to make calling worthwhile.

However, sometimes you're so obviously beat (or maybe you couldn't even beat a bluff), that you've gotta fold.
