Hourly rate in Kill games?
Should the way you calculate your hourly rate be different for a kill game than a game without a kill? My regular B&M game is 3/6 with a 6/12 kill. Whenever i record my sessions in this game into my spreadsheet i always use $6 as the BB, but i make a note that it is a kill game. For example, last night i bought in for 2 racks, played for 3.5 hours, and cashed out with $320. My spreadsheet tells me i netted 20 BB's, and was making 5.71 BB/hr. Should i change the BB to $12 so that i would net 10 BB's and make 2.86 BB/hr? Or is it enough to simply make a note that it was a kill game and that my hourly rate will typically be higher than in a 3/6 without a kill?

Re: Hourly rate in Kill games?
Sounds like you already see that there's a wr difference between 3/6 kill, 3/6, and 6/12. Just be sure to keep seperate records on each. For the money on the table, I'd imagine the wr being the highest with the kill due to the smaller blind structure on average and the fact that many players don't adjust.
But as to how to label it... This is more important than anything other decision you'll make in your poker career. 3/6 kill when tracked in a spreadsheet MUST BE named Virgin_FluffyButterNut_36.exl |
