bad fold?

My first post here so bear with me

1/2 NL online, no reads on villian
folded around to hero in MP2 with KK, raise to $10 (too small?), villian calls in the SB, 2 to the flop both w/$190 or so.
Flop is J J 4 rainbow, villian checks, hero bets $15, villian min raises to $30, hero calls (come back over the top here?)
Turn was a blank 6 and villian bet out $45, after some consideration I folded believing he had AJ, KJ, or maybe TJs
Did I play it too weak/tight from the start, tough to tell with no reads if I made a good laydown.

Good fold

Preflop: raise less. 5x BB is too much IMO. 3-4x BB when first in seems right to me. People at this limit are going to call with some GOOFY nonsense, so keep the pot small from the get-go to avoid getting tied to the pot. Build a pot when you have or are fairly certain to have a very strong hand.

At these limits, people have a very hard time betting correctly when they don't have it. Getting check-raised and having them put more than $20 in one bet on the turn screams that you're beat.

Re: bad fold?

No way is the raise too much that would be my minimum raise at a relatively tight table
I have never used the 3x the BB rule in NL I dont need an 8 handed flop with kings

You played it great IMO.

Maybe bet a little more on the flop. Fold to the raise. If you call the raise, definitly fold on turn if no improve.
