Getting creative with AQ
Mid-limit 6max table, playing rather passive but moderately loose. Utg limps, Utg+1 raises(straight forward), Button coldcalls, I call from SB with AQ, BB calls. Five to see a flop.
Flop- J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Checked to PF raiser who bets, folded to me and I checkraise. All fold in between and PF raiser calls. Turn- J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I call. River- J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet and he folds. Why not check-raise the turn? You might be able to get an extra bet out of a hand like KQ or ATs.
I don't really like the flop check-raise, unless you think you can get him to muck TT or smaller pocket pair. I'd rather 3-bet pf and hope to get it 3 handed on the flop. |
