List of bet names, any more?
 

I've made up a list of all the types of bets I know. No doubt more will come to mind as soon as I hit the submit button. There must be some I'm not even aware off. Anybody know any more?


· Blocking

· Continuation

· Stop ‘n go

· Semi-bluff

· Charge – When you think you have the best hand and bet to make you opponent pay to draw. What I call it anyway it might have a proper name.

· Slowplay

· Value – This is mentioned a lot but I’m not really clear what it’s supposed to mean.

· Check raise

· Blind steal.

. Resteal

. Follow up bluff - (Shoting both barrels)

Yeah I know it's the wrong forum but I get the most sense out of the folk here and NLHE is my game.

Gay - Yeah I know that one.
Squezze - Would that be were you bet before the raiser when there are other players after him?

A bet for value is usually on the river and is the largest amount you can get your opponent to pay off on his weaker hand with. (I'm sure it can be explained better tho) [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Looking at your list, weak lead comes to mind as well as the overbet. Also an information bet maybe?
