(WARNING... LOW CONTENT. Just something that made me smile)

May I start by saying I thought no one was going to pay me. I was dealt pocket aces three times within my first 12 hands, made the standard raise and everyone folded. I didn't think anyone was going to pay me off on anything tonight.

I know these are straight forward, but they were so fun. I played these hands on 2 different tables within 2 minutes of each other. We all experience bad beats, so it was such a nice change of pace to make 2 major hits in a row.

There's no real issues with these.

This is just chip-spewing, not at all similar to OP's hands. You're taking worse than 3:1 on an 11:1 shot. Luckily for you villian connected very well with the board. Most of the time I think villian folds with less than 2 pair and you don't get paid off. Do you continue spewing chips if you don't catch the turn? JMO

not chip spewing at all. if villain had just lead the flop, i'd probably fold. in this case, the check-raise clues me in that he has a pretty big hand, giving Hero very good implied odds. implied odds are used far too often only preflop when you really should think about them post-flop as well.

if villain shows enough strength that i expect to be able to take his stack if i hit a gutshot on the next card, then i'd call the 4BB as long as villains stack is at least 60BB.

Does villain frequently check-raise with less than 2pair ?

If not then hero can often expect to get paid, so its not a bad play.
