Absolute Poker

Thanks for all the advice given to me in my last thread, I have done some research and am seriously considering throwing my $1000 into a brand new Absolute Poker account -- to get the $500 bonus...

I'd appreciate any comments from those of you who play there.....

ALSO, does anyone know if there is a "referral" deal where I and my "referror" can get some extra cash? If so, PM me and I'll choose someone who seems helpful/trustworthy....

Thanks.

Absolute has a few draw backs... The graphics are ugly, the software is a resource hog, you can only play three tables, and the software is slow.

However, the bonuses never end, there's always plenty of games, and the games are soft.

I've been playing 3 tables of 1/2 6 max there to work off some stored up bonuses and I'm clearing about $15 of the bonus per hour.

Just stay out of the 0.50/1 games. I played about 500 hands tonight, 1 mouse 10% and me at 25% VP$IP. Next lowest 31% nobody else under 40%, most were at or above 60%. 4-5 to the flop all night. If your cards hold up the pots are big, but you lose a lot on wild suck outs.

I've never had any luck at absolute. I play 1/2 and 1/2 6max and it is a total rock garden. You can eek out 10bux an hour because the software is so slow. I don't recommend this site when you have other better places (party)

Are you saying too many people suck at .5/1 and he should stay away from it? If thats the case, you make no sense.

then drop down to .50/1. 3 table, you'll ave $10 in bonus. 1NL is even better, you can actually isolate to 1 or 2 fish at a time.

Are other people averaging this ($10/hr) at .50/1? I am playing 1/2 and averaging that, but I would be more comfortable at .50/1. I tried it awhile ago, but the pots never seemed to get to $5.

I'm saying you might need valium it can make you crazy.

4-5 on the flop and river (raises are just mass called) at 6max is wild. Of the last 1394 hands 1319 were raked, 57% saw the flop, and 67.3% have lost money.

It was a wild night.

The last 1 I was playing 2 SNG's and single tabling. That's pretty close to $10. I prefer 1NL or even .50NL.
