AK vs an apparent LAG, need a line.

Paradise .5/1

First orbit.

Hero is in MP2 with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Folded to MP1 who raises. It is the third hand he's raised preflop in the last six. Hero reraises. All fold.

Flop:
A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villian bets, hero calls, planning to raise a non-club turn.

Turn:
4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villian bets.

What is hero's line from here?

Calling down seems prudent. Folding is terrible.

BTW, this is one where you might want to wait for the river to stick your raise in. WA/WB. (Assuming the fourth club had not come off).

I hate LAG's who continually raise preflop. But I hate them even more when they suck out on me. Saying that, I raise this flop. If he reraises, I cap. If he leads the turn I call down. If he wins I do the normal stuff. Smash the monitor, kick the cat, yell at the girlfriend, "No! I fecking haven't finished playing poker, and what's more I'm going to play all fecking night, so feck ya!"
You know, the usual stuff.

All fold? Woohoo you win!

But seriously folks...

3 raises out of 6 hands isn't THAT unusual, really. I'd give him some credibility, still.

I'd call down. Nothing I hate more than 4-suit boards when I'm not holding one of them, but he might not either.

KO

It's the only read I had, bro.

I did call down. Do you call down advocates bet the river if checked to? I do.

Also, if there was no 4th club, do you raise the turn or the river, or not at all?

1. If it is checked to you on any street, bet.

2. Let's say the turn and river were non-clubs. In that case I call the turn (assuming he bets) and raise the river (again, assuming he bets).

id raise the flop...it makes the rest of the streets easier to play. call down if he still wants the lead (assuming no more clubs)

edit: and yes, i would bet out if checked to.

that is frigging hilarious, mainly b/c that sounds exactly like me talking to my girlfriend. When I get sucked out on, she better not be in the room, I yell, she gets mad, tells me to quit playing, I yell some more, etc..

maybe I should get a cat..

You guys that want to raise this flop and call down further aggression by the villain are playing it wrong, IMO.

You're ahead more often than not on this flop but a club will change things dramatically. Wait to raise a safe card (or cards) on one of the big streets.
