TRACKING WINNINGS AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT HAND HISTORIES - CHAT BOX??
 

I have tried Poker Tracker, SNG tracker, Poker charts, Everythig else out there - but each one requires hand history .txt's -which i have to "request" download them each time - and this takes about 5 mins . My poker software is Prima. Surely there is a software which reads the text from the chat box which can then show graphical charts showing profits/losses. Any ideas?

you can switch to party or crypto skins, they download the HH direct to your computer.

This would require the software to use a screenscraping feature which is against most pokerrooms T&C's because it's what bots use.

It wouldn't require that at all. A friend of mine had some way of capturing the text from the chatbox into a .txt

I'm pretty sure poker office tracks stats from party this way. I don't use it but this is what I remember hearing.

I don't use that particular site, but it quite likely wouldn't need to do screen scraping. Most poker clients save everything in the chat window to a textfile (usually under an extension other than .txt).

You can scroll up and see a conversation that took place hours ago, or change the window to "show everything" mode and see each game laid out seat-by-seat, round by round. That info was stored on your computer all along, but you rarely ever use it.

It would be wasteful to store all that info in RAM, so it is instead recorded in a textfile that is deleted when you close the client (or when you leave the table, depending on the site). Another program can simply read that text file and filter for the lines/data that matter to you.

Some site clients don't bother updating the "Last Modified" file stamp every time they add a line, but you can still spot them because they will have been created when you strated the client or sat down at the table. For obviosu reasons, most of the client's files never change, except during updates, so you'll only have to check a couple of file in Notepad to figure out how they name the chat session files (e.g. MMDDYYY-TABLENUM.CHT) Once you've done that, the rest is easy.

Could you link me to some software pages or previous posts about this issue? Also, how could you alter the chat text, which has been collected by some means (im trying AutoIt but its hard to filter) Into the format which Poker Tracker requires it?
Has somebody created a script to do this?
Can "Screen scanning" software - which copies bitmap into text into the clipboard work?

poker office does not work with Prima Poker, yet. When it does, i will try it. I suppose you work for poker office - if so, when will it be upgraded for Prima?
