Double Up Method - Could it work?

If my goal is to win XX amount per week. Is it possible to pick a good baseball team to win that amount on Monday and double up plus the juice if they lose until they win.

If I have a bankroll and a book that will let me play a potentially large play, could this work?

It seems that some teams have a very high unlikelihood of losing 6 or 7 games in a row. Is this a strategy that could be dangerous or can it work under certain circumstances?

Thanks for your help.

Try it out and let us know how it goes.

It could, but it could be rough. There have been winning and losing streaks over 16 games.

Good luck with it.

This has been discussed quite a bit on here, so I am not going to get into all the math. But, you cannot win by using the Martingale method.

But Vinny says you can. And Vinny basically uses this method to make his picks by counting on home teams not to be swept. So even if you say it can't be done Craig, and even if the math says it can't be done, Vinny inists that it can.

I was not necessarily talking about Vinny. But, there is almost no doubt in my mind that his system will not work. Systems, usually do not work. There are only a few that might work with baseball and I don't even know if one can call those systems.

Betting on sports takes a lot of work and just because you "know your sports" does not mean that you will win at sportsbetting.

Ok, so you are a little bitter. I did not say it can work. I am not say double up and double up again, over and over. I have been profitable in the past and hope to again this year.

I am saying that I do and have (when the time/odds are right). I never insisted.

I feel bad if you have taken my picks and lost. But there is no need to rag me.

I haven't taken your picks, and I did sound more bitter than I meant.
Look, I side with Craig on this one where a "system" isn't how you beat sports.
If you have been a winner in the past and continue to win, I am glad, and wish you nothing but the best.
However, since I do disagree with your approach, the sarcasm meter may have gone up slightly during my post.
