Difference between PP 0.5/1 and 1/2?

What's the difference in terms of table looseness and aggressivity between those two levels on PP? If I can multi-table 4 tables for a rate of 2BB/100 at .5/1, should I be able to maintain something close to that at 1/2, or is it alot harder to find good tables? I'm thinking of moving up next weekend but I thought I'd get some advice first. If it changes anything, I have the 300BB bankroll already with 10K+ hands experience at .5/1 as well as around 50 hours experience at a b&m 3/6 (Lowest limit at the casino I go to) where my expectation is around 1BB/hour.

Anyways, is there anything I should consider adjusting in my game before I move up to the next level, or are they similar enough that they basically play the same?

Don't sweat it too much. .5/1 tables come in different flavors, so you probably have not seen anything you won't see at 1/2. I don't think a winner there will be a loser at 1/2. Just play solid poker. You will find more situations where you can bully people. But just play your game.

1/2 tables in general have significantly more rocks and tighter players. However, these players play tight-weak, so they can be pushed off marginal holdings. Also, there is still a fair amount of your typical loose-passive fish.

When you play 1/2, play 1/2 6 max, It is extremely profitable

Yeah, I recall seeing that from several posters in other topics, but I'm not sure if I'm really comfortable enough with my short-handed game to beat those tables. Guess I should look into it though.

IMO it's profitable for strong, very disciplined players. Keep in mind that a -100BB downswing is not a rare occurance, and if you only have 300BB to work with, that's a third of your bankroll..

I was actually down -100BB today in 1300 hands playing .5/1 10-handed, and managed to bring ot back up to close at +27BB after 1700 hands, so after going through all that, I'm don't think huge swings are gonna affect me anymore. But yeah, it was scary for a second...

for me its about faster overall action, the extra hands/hr really helps me stay focused .. if party had 2/4 and 3/6 6max I don't think i'd ever go back to playing full tables

but i don't think i really want to jump straight to 5/10
