Performance Enhancing Drugs
MeatballAK’s ‘shaking hand’ post got me thinking – there are drugs out there that could help a player mask certain tells – e.g. the shaking hand or the ever popular carotid pulse. I’m thinking here of Beta Blockers and other adrenaline inhibitors.
http://www.ethanwiner.com/BetaBlox.html Such medication could, potentially, give a player an unfair advattage. Does anyone foresee a situation where the WSOP or WPT will have to introduce drug testing into competition Poker? Anyone heard any rumours of players using such drugs? |

Yeah, just botox up your whole face so that you have the expressions of a very stiff mannequin Try reading that!
The safer alternative is to pretend you are an Islamic Female.... oh er, gambling.... Doh! |

Lol - or maybe a few 'roids to help push in your huge chipstack in one smooth move.

I can see Hellmuth juicing so that when he loses a coinflip preflop he can just stand up and tip over the ENTIRE TABLE.

Re: Performance Enhancing Drugs
I actually think that something more important re: performance enhancing drugs relates to mental-ability enhancement. Stuff, like ritalin, that helps you focus. I mean, imagine if you're playing a major multi-day tournament, and one advantage is that you keep popping pills and have unshakable concentration. you're that much closer to avoiding the brainfart that derails lots of people. i think daniel n mentioned something about some mind supplement that he was taking (no idea what it was). just something to think about
