I guess it was because I decided I wanted to play the hand like a little girl. But 2 pair or a set came to mind after he called my 400 on the flop.

I thought my real mistake was not pushing on the flop.

I suspect that after you checked the turn he put you on a bluff, I doubt he had the king. Bet that turn baby, aces don't usually crack themselves, they often need the help of the person holding them.
