vegas questions

Alright I have never been to vegas, I had planned on going there in September until just before christmas to play for a few months. Anywho I won a wsop seat so I figure I will go there next month and play for a few months until the tourney instead of going in the fall. Anywho I am just searching around on the net and would like your guys imput, any sugguestions on where to stay when I am there? I will be playing 5-10 or 10-20 NL and probably 30-60 to 80-160, so what sugguestions do you guys have?

This site will give you a handle on the poker rooms. As far as where to stay, I'm not sure what you're looking for. Do you want the cheapest places or the nicest ones? Or are you looking to stay at the place where you spend most of your time playing poker? At any rate, AllVegasPoker will give you links to the casinos, and you can check their websites for room rates, etc.

I would like a mix of both, I assume I will be playing a lot at the Bellagio, was looking at the rooms and they are pretty expensive, but I also do not want to be in a dump either. I am going to check out that link now, thanks!

If you play at the Bellagio, you can get the poker rate, which is usually $129 weekdays and $199 weekends. To get this rate call the reservations desk during daytime hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM I believe), ask for the poker room and book through them - they will give you specifics on hours of play required and whatnot.

3 months is a long time to live out of a normal hotel room.
If you are going to have a car, look into "extended stay" hotels.
BudetSuites
Homestead Studio Suites
ExtendedStay America
Hawthorn Suites
Candlewood Suites

If you book by the week/month, they will run in the $50-$70 a day range.

As for where to stay, check out Emerald Suites, or Manor Suites. Both of these offer weekly rentals at the South end of the strip. They are among the better weekly places in Vegas, and both are relatively close to the action.
