Minimum bet question

Our group plays No Limit Texas Hold-em. I want to make sure we are betting properly. Assume the blinds are 10/20.

Pre Flop:

Player one can fold, call 20 or raise to 40 or more.
Assume player one raise to 50

Player two can fold, call 50 or raise to 80 or more.

For all hands after the flop

Player one can check or bet 20 or more.
Assume player one bets 50.

Player two can fold, call 50 or raise to 100 or more.

Do I have this right.

Re: Minimum bet question

Based on my (limited) experience, you've got the betting right. I've also played in games where the turn (4th street) and river (5th street) bets must be at least twice the big blind. In your example, that would mean a minimum bet of 40, rather than 20, on those streets. I don't know if that is standard.

Yes, you do. All raises must be at least the size of a bet, previous raise or big blind if it's preflop. All rounds after the flop require a minimum bet equal to the big blind.

Good work.

He's a little uncoordinated, so he checks sometimes when he should raise.

I play wih Cobra and the main issue we are trying to get clear is whether or not the minimum bets on the Turn and River are 2xBB, or simply BB?

Anyone know of point me in the right direction?

Re: Minimum bet question

Turn and river minbet in NLHE is the same as the BBlind. However, if you wanted to make a structure where it was 2xBB you certainly could. That's how pokerroom.com does it. I prefer the normal way.

From Robert's Rules:

2. All bets must be at least equal to the minimum bring-in, unless the player is going all-in.
