10-20 Foxwoods preflop decision

10-20 Foxwoods. Pretty good game. Enough bad loose plays preflop, some tight preflop players. Nobody except me is aggressive enough on the later streets. EMP is (occasionally far) too loose preflop and open-limps. Folded to late position tight guy who raises. Seems to be raising light or at least making a proper raise on less than a premium hand. Folded to me in the BB and I 3-bet with 77. Horrible? Acceptable? I felt I was against an out-of-line limper and two players who wouldn't use their position properly. (Also, single bets on the flop took down pots, even raised ones, with surprising frequency.)

Thoughts?

i like the play if your 3bet will get EMP to fold. if hes going to call the 2 cold back to him then its a bad play. if the pfr is the type of player to isolate loose limpers then your play has much more merit, but if his raise is legitimate then your 3bet accomplishes nothing if the early limper is coming along for the ride. you said that you can take the pot down on the flop with 1 bet, which really makes 3betting seem like a strong play. therefore, if the ep limper will fold for the 2 bets i like it alot.
