I was thinking 2 pr or trips, but I have had a player do this before when they missed their flush draw. No reads on the player.

It's hard to say here, and that perfectly illustrates one of many reasons we like to raise pre-flop.

67 he went for the gut shot, then had double belly buster and hit on the river

He would have proper odds to call the flop bet with Ah 2h (call 2.5 to win 11.5 is 4.6 to one, and his 9 outs to the nut flush is about 4.6 to one to hit on the very next card). He also has the right odds to call your river bet when he adds in the gut shot wheel that the turn gives him (call 7 to win 21 is 3 to one, and his 9 outs to the nut flush plus 3 non-heart 5's to a straight make about 3.1 to one).

I wouldn't play A2s in the SB, but the rest of his play might make sense with A2s.

I don't know that he would slow play trips or two pair with such a draw heavy board. There is a flush draw and a straight draw (J9 or 79) that he would want to protect by betting, or at least check raising either the flop or the turn on you, wouldn't he?

My guess is either 67 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 62 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Or he might have some random two-pair hand like 105 or the like . . .

Raising ATo out of the blinds after 3 limpers is beyond idiotic.

Bet more on flop and turn ($3, $10). You will appear more aggresive and get checked to more often and you can check behind on the river.

In your situation a prtty easy fold, his range of hands is huge.

I think the idea that he had 67h or A2h are all giving way too much credit to your $50NL opponent.

I'd put him on more than a pair of tens, that's the key thing. I'm with Mosch: clumsily slowplayed set or two pair.

I'm curious about your $2.50 bet on the flop. I'd bet the full pot or really close to it given all those people and all those draws -- what do you think? Stand by the bet or would you up it given a chance to play the hand again?
