QQ vs TCR

MP3 is LAP after 30 hands or so.

Preflop is good.

Flop: I think I should have called, planning to raise the turn. Please tell me if you agree or disagree.

Turn:
When he checked to me, I figured that I'd caught an aggressive opponent with a flush draw. I didn't think he'd bother to checkraise me after I called him on the flop 3-bet.

I was the last guy, so I bet it. I had to call the raise and the river bet. I figured that I was up against AA-KK.

How well do you guys think I played the hand?

30 Hands is not much for a read. If he is loose you can be up against JJ,TT or even 99, considering the 3-bet on the flop.
PF seems standard to me, and i'd play the flop just as you.
But im a newb, so i can be totally wrong

Thanks for the comment.

Anything you want to tell me about the Banstick, other than its price?

Bump.

No offense to flo, but I'm looking for a few more opinions on whether I should have re-raised the turn or just called the flop.

I'd cap the flop, your hand might still be best and you've got a lot of people calling along. It he leads the turn call down.

I prefer jamming the flop over waiting for the turn as it might get Kx and Ax to fold. You're already in a good position to protect your hand and you also have a weak backdoor flush draw.

Your line isn't bad either, betting the turn after he checks to you is standard. Giving a free card with your hand in a 16BB pot would be terrible.

Standard river call in a huge pot.

I would have gone for a turn raise here. Just as likely to be up against 99 - JJ as well as KK - AA and sometimes even tilted over cards. Call the re-raise if there is one and c/c the river.

I agree with capping the flop

Re: QQ vs TCR

I find 30 hands to be quite a good measurement for VPIP, much of the time, probably even 50-75% of the time.

Also, if someone's a little sLA-P or sLA-A, I note them mentally as someone who could easily swing to TA-A at any time.

Also, if I see a "fish" act really aggressive, then I know that that guy's going to change in the near future to something like LP-A, or LA-A.

Not a big deal.. I do watch these things, but I find 30 hands to be surprisingly accurate for pre-flop stuff.

Especially if you notice 50% PFR or 50% vpip 2% PFR... you know that this guy probably plays too many hands.

Good line.

It's going to be possible to protect the hand on the turn vs gutshots, but not on the flop, also. Waiting until the turn is definitely a good thing!
