Check-Raise both flop and turn??

Should I have just bet the turn and hoped for BB to raise it?

(BB is a suspected 2+2er, but he wouldn't confirm it. Button is a classic taz.)

I'm not so sure that check/raising the flop is the way to go here.

I think if you're going to c/r the turn, you would have been better off calling the flop 3-bet. There may even have been some validity to simply calling on the flop and foregoing the raise until the turn, but I'm not entirely sure. While unlikely, capping the flop could cause the turn to be checked around.

Tell me why we're in this hand in the first place?

After 3 callers any 2 suited is fine by me.

I think that the CR on the flop was a bad play because if you had bet instead, BB would have likely raised, forcing any drawers to cold call. I like the cap as well, what could this idiot be beating you with that he'd raise PF? Either 7's (who raises those?) or 10's, but the river counterfeits his 10's. I think he has a monster overpair and is jamming the pot, to his dismay. Nice hand.

Agreed. Two pair, with one of the pairs 3's, (easily counterfeited) and 2 suited on the flop - not as strong as it sounds. Bet out and hope BB raises.
