Poker calendar babble
 

So I got a poker calendar for Christmas--you know one of those things that you tear off the page every day and there's some poker tid bit on each page.

The first page had the hand rankings. Above Royal flush it had: Five of a Kind (with a wild card). For some reason that really pissed me off.

So today the page says:

POKER WISDOM

Always remember that in a poker game the average hand becomes far less valuable when a higher number of players are at the table.


What the hell does that mean? It doesn't make any sense to me at all. What's an average hand and why the hell are you playing it to begin with? And so if a hand increases in value with more players does that mean its not an average hand? And what does it mean to get less valuabl, wins less often? wins less money? At the table? Does it matter whether thiy are in the pot or not?

Stupid calendar.

lol I got this calendar for xmas also. i write notes to myself and shopping lists on the backs of the pages...

I do that with my Dilbert one. It's the best thing ever.

I hope tomorrow you wake up to it telling you that T5o is the best hand in hold em because it can make any straight and two flushes.

Or that Q8o is the best hand in hold em, because it simply is.

Sadly no. Today it said:

Casino Rules

If you show cards to another player during or after a deal, any player at thet table has the right to see those exposed cards. Cards shown during a deal to a player not in the pot should only be shown to all players when the deal is finished.


Ok...well at least this one didn't make me feel like I was becoming dumber just by reading it.
