Wynn Casino and RFID Chips

Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, did a search and didnt see it.

Has anyone heard about the RFIDs Wynn is putting into their chips? Just wondering on the reaction of others here, they do have interesting applications to reduce B&M cheating.

From the article, it sounds like The Wynn is a lot more concerned with protecting itself than it is with protecting the players. That said, this technology could be great for poker tournaments. With this technology exact chip counts would be possible and problems like chip cupping would be a thing of the past.

Didnt think about the tournament aspect. Going to be funny when casinos offer pokertracker subscriptions based on these.

I was actually making a joke about the PT thing, but theoretically I guess it would be possible to an extent.

I really doubt they will use this technology in poker tournaments.
