LV people--What\'s near the Rio?
 

Hi folks,

I'm coming to Vegas for 2-4 weeks in Jun/Jul, for the Series, of course. I can't afford the Rio (and for all I know, they're booked solid already); what hotels are near it? Any general recommendations? I've heard about people renting apartments for a month, instead of a hotel room. Anyone done that, or know who to ask about it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Two places right nearby are the Palms and the Gold Coast.

The Rio is about one mile west of the Strip (dead center). So, if you can't get a room at the Palms or Gold Coast, you'll need transportation.
