I've heard it can be more applicable to 20/40 live games rather than 1/2 on party. It's more dependent on how many opponents see a flop on average (and perhaps how poorly they play after the flop?)

SSH doesn't cover limits, it covers the type of game your opponents play. It says in the first part of the book that the strategy is for playing against players who generally play incorrectly, seeing too many flops and playing too many hands too far. Many posters here have said that they found SSH to apply to some games at 10/20, 15/30, or even higher.

SSH also says that if most of your opponents are playing correctly most of the time, the strategy in HPFAP is more appropriate. Again, it is possible that there are games at 5/10 or even lower where that is true. (Possible, but unlikely.)

If there are drunk conventioners at your favorite casino it can cover 40/80, or even higher.

It's really a question of how bad your opponents are. When several opponents are very bad SSH gives you the tools to take them for the most.
