Player thrown out for B.O.

I was playing 20/40 yesterday at the casino in Brantford Ontario. One of the players, an older Greek gentleman, was thrown out of the room because he smelled. He was advised to "go home, have a shower and come back".

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

I thought it hilarious except that man was playing loosely and poorly and had donated many dollars to the rest of the table.

I was thinking about this in mentally framing a response to someone else's question about "morality" at the table. I decided not to post after all (the only "immoral" thing you can do at a poker table is break a rule) when this occurred to me. While it is a rule that I'm guessing is only very rarely enforced, it is still a good rule. Hygiene and common courtesy might be fairly subjective but as a player I appreciate any and all attempts by the management to enforce either or both of them.

Dang, I wish they'd do it more often. I have played against some real Stinky Pete's.

I know you aren't shy about bringing things to the attention of the floor. When someone smells complain to the floor. It is pretty normal for them to send the offender to the showers.

I shower daily but have actually cotemplated purposely not showering before major tournaments (such as WSOP), in hopes that my BO would prevent the others at the table from playing their top game. However, I would be way too embarresed to actually go through with something like that, thoughts???

I was playing at the Taj once when a man walked by my table, smelling bad enough that a nearby floorwoman actually threw up in a garbage can.
