Extra Money Question
 

I have thought about while I'm at work having my wife play poker online to squeeze out a little extra money. She and I play occasionally together and she has a small understanding of how the game works. I also thought about leaving a hand list for her while I'm away. Any thoughts? Is this a reasonable idea because she has hours of free time each day where she could be taking back a little of the money she spends. Also, what would be an appropriate game? Limit 5/10. 10/20??? Replies appreciated. Thanks

I'd have her read a book before she even considers going live at 5/10 or 10/20 stakes. She is better off playing a limit where it won't affect your bankroll allowing her to get a grasp for different situations and how certain hands unfold, etc etc....

If she is going to only play limit her best bet is to read HPFAP.

id say get her low limit holdem make her read it and follow it playing 1/2 or 2/4 and stress to her that she must follow it to a T and to not get bored and start loosing up, otherwise her unexperience is gonna show through.

Which part? That his wife barely knows how to play, but she is going to play for some extra spending cash?

or that she barely knows how to play, but can probably make 2BB/100 at a Party .50/1?

It's a very funny post. I hope for his sake that his wife never finds her way to this board and reads that post. I particularly like the part about making make "at least some of the money she spends", as if he eats for free.

I think the worst part of the plan is having her play during the day when the tables are going to be much, much tougher.
