If I want 16 tables on one monitor, what are my options?
 

Any ideas? I've heard most big flat screen tv's have horrible resolution. If anyone out there has some godlike setup, I'd love to see some pics.

16-tabling just seems sick to me. I can't handle 8-tabling at the moment, let alone 16. You got some gift! [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

Zee, I know you have the money for it so this is what I woudl suggest. The highest resolution you are going to get isn't much more than 1600 X 1200 on a monitor you will even semi-enjoy the clarity and legibilty of the game on.

Go to your high end electronics store wherever you live, the one that customizes home entertainment centers for millionares... not Best Buy or circuit city. Tell them what you want.

I am guessing they will put 4 21 - 30 inch flat screen monitors together in a format similar to what you have seen on T.V. before (100 T.V. screens setup 10 X 10 to display one screen) except on a smaller scale. I would expect to have an open ended desk (meaning no back to it above the hieght of your surface) pushed up against a wall and the monitors hanging from the wall.

They can also wire everything THROUGH the wall and no wires will be visible what so ever. I would expect the setup of such a system to run $1,000 - $1,500 in setup fees with some good wiring and mounts for the screens maybe a few hundred more.

Other than that, the problem with big T.V. screens (even HDTV Plasma screens or EDTV for that matter) is the resolution is MUCH lower than you would expect! I am guessing the highest resolution you will get ... is 1024 X 768 - 1280 X 1024 on even the 60 inch HDTV screens.

I am sure you could have a custom high end scren made by some manufacterer but this way would be prices ALOT more reasonable and would actually look cooler [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Since they are there doing the wiring I would suggest having them run cable wires and setting up a Plasma T.V. on the wall off to your left or angling it in the corner.. something along those lines. At least have them put the wiring in place in case you ever change your mind [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I know I will end up tuniong the T.V. on and just 'listening' to my favorite shows havlf the time..

The LT-P468W does pretty well in terms of I/O versatility, though all the connectors are perpendicular to the set's back panel. When you factor in the unit's weight (close to 100 pounds), it isn't going to be very amenable to a wall-hanging installation.

16 tables, one monitor - try an alternate shell for windows that has multiple desktops. WARNING: not for the computer novice.

litestep is quite easy and has some very nice eye candy.

bb4win (or the variant bblean, which i use), is a lot harder to config, but a lot speedier and less resource intensive. it's also got some other neat features.

google both of them and do some research.
