6 tabling and 8 tabling monitors?

Can anyone recommend a good Dell Monitor in which I can 6 table with no overlap?

Also , I heard with one you can 8 table with no overlap, is that true? If so does anyone nkow which one that is also?

I had some monitor discussions in my favorites but they were deleted and can't seem to find em.

Thanks

Dual Dell 2001FPs is the best/cheapest way to go and will give you 8-tabling capabilities.

I cannot think of a monitor in the world that will give you 8 tabling with no overlap - 4 is about the best to hope for at 1600/1200 resolution -

but like the poster said - at that res....two monitors and 8 tabling is possible -

I recently purchased the ViewSonic CRT 21" G220fb and I can 6 table without overlap with the resolution set to 2048 x 1536. The borders of the tables overlap but the you can see everyone's cards on each table without having to click on a table to bring it to the top. Stack the tables vertically in 2 rows of 3.

The downside is that the monitor needs a lot of depth so a corner setup works best. It was $420 through Dell including tax and that was 15% off and free shipping.

Maybe it's just me, but everytime I use someone else's computer who has a CRT, it hurts my eyes if I'm staring at it for more than like half an hour. I know next to nothing about tech stuff, so I don't know if there's a reason for this or if I'm just a nut case. Or both.

Festus, any way you can post a screenshot of how the 6 tables look?

I'd like to get a flatscreen, I guess it's going to be expensive.

the reason is, most CRT monitors cannot do 1600x1200 resolution at a decent refresh rate. most all will only run at 60hz. the way to test this is to open up microsoft word or some blank white screen.. look slightly away from the monitor and watch the screen with your peripheral. you will be able to 'see' the screen flickering. its like when you see computer monitors on TV you see the band running up and down. if you ran a higher refresh rate it would mostly likely not hurt your eyes.

Actual image quality is pretty good. Of course, it's small but definitely playable for long stretches.
