Simple question about moving odds

Hey guys, I did a search first and found some reviews on sportsbooks and some people plugging their review sites . Anyway, I've spent the year betting with intertops which has been alright, but frequently the action will move the payout odds to crap. Like right now, SD is -6.5 but paying at -125. I checked quickly at sportsbook.com and willhill.com and both were at 7 but willhill is paying 1/1 and sportsbook I can't find what it is so I assume standard 10% juice. Is this practices of moving the juice by intertops standard? I'm kind of used to it but a number of times I've said, "man, i'd eat another half point in the payout odds weren't awful." but never went searching. Thanks in advance for any advice and sorry if this is a redundant question.

Oh, and their bonuses are like 8x rollover the deposit amount + bonus. I like sportsbetting and all, but man, this would take forever to clear.

I think Intertops sucks. They are a pain in the ass about everything. But, that is besides the point.

3 and 7 are key numbers in the NFL. A lot of times sportsbooks don't like to move on or off of key numbers. The main reason being is that they set themselves up for middles. So, what they will do is instead of moving the line they will increase/decrease how much you have to lay/take.

But, you can find a place that has SD -7 -110 and buy it down to 6.5 -120. You will save an extra nickel.

moving the lines in such a manner is common.

however, you should be able to do better than the lines on intertops which are typically pretty crappy....although they did do that Friday -105 thing which was pretty good....and I have found some occasional good lines there.

Pinnacle has better lines on EACH side typically compared with intertops.....and there are other books out there as well.

Each 1-2% you save on each bet adds up after awhile so it pays to shop-around...or, at least, just find one better book who's lines you anticipate are generally gonig to be reasonable.

Currently (for example):

Pinnacle
SD -6.5 (-111)
NY +6.5 (+101)

Intertops
SD -6.5 (-110)
NY +6.5 (-110)

Bodog
SD -7 (-105)
NY +7 (-115)

not sure where you saw that SD was -125 on intertops.

Thanks Bob. At the time of posting the it was SD -125 and NYJ +105. I liked SD but decided not to take the crap odd which worked out quite well . I'm probably gonna abandon intertops after this football season. Any suggestions?

have at least three books.

olympic/pinnacle/cris are the big three and more or less have the same line.

places like sportsinteraction are less solid but offer rouge (off market) lines on a pretty standard basis. having an account here is a MUST if you bet a lot of underdogs and want maximum value.

rio/skybook gives a free half point (which is equal to about 10c of juice in hoops)

mega sportsbook offers -104, and hollywood offers -107.

i could go on forever
