Absolute Poker Called My House
I got home from work yesterday and there was a message on the answering machine from a real live person at Absolute poker. He was letting me know about a new bonus and making sure that I was having a good time playing at AP. This didn't bother me at all, I just thought it was kind of wierd. Did anyone else get a call recently? (I don't even play much at AP)

Never happened.
Lucky it didn't happened to that guy who was living with his parents and was keeping playing poker a big secret... SamJack |
Re: Absolute Poker Called My House
I couldn't find any many soft games there and quit trying to clear bonuses, and they've called me twice since then.

Re: Absolute Poker Called My House
I got a call a few months ago "reminding" me that I had bonus money left there. I told the guy I didnt like the UI and that I had many other sites to choose from. He sounded like a nice enough guy

Re: Absolute Poker Called My House
I get calls once a week or so from online casinos which I have whored.
Usually it's some foreign guy who speaks in broken English. I can't really complain, however. These casinos keep giving me free money. The idea is to get me to deposit more, but it hasn't worked so far. |
Re: Absolute Poker Called My House
On the subject of phone calls and Bonus whoring_ I received a phone call from PP when I cashed out after getting bonus money. They wanted to know why I was cashing out so quickly, almost like they were not going to give me my money. I was transferred to several different people, very intimidating, and cashed out all but $100. Couple of days later I cashed it all out.
Question: Would it have made a difference if I was using Neteller? I like the whole idea of building a bank roll, but I almost feel guilty about it. Or that I am doing something wrong. Any help on this is greatly appreciated |

He was a nice guy, asked why I stopped playing there and I told him it was because multitabling was laggy. He suggested it had gotten better so I gave it another shot. I deposited during another reload and tried to play 3 tables but the lag was still horrendous. Since I play NL and they only have a slider for the bet amount I could never get the exact bet size off and kept on timing out again like usual. I was royally pissed (plus I don't like 200BB stacks) and withdrew. I later found out that the AP manager had given me $20 of string free money as well, but I still cashed out anyway. I mean a lot of the Zooers just whore the Party skins when there's a reload, then hop back on whichever skin we have a rakeback on. Or you could try playing a few more hands past the required bonus amount to make them happy. |

Re: Absolute Poker Called My House
They have called me twice now. I told them the truth. If it wasn't for a few tourneys that I like to play there I wouldn't even be playing there. I noticed that I had received a 20 dollar prize. They say I won some kind of drawing. Who knows, who cares. Maybe if you complain about the site, when they call, then they will put some moolah in your account.
I still don't play there at all, unless it is a league tourney or something along those lines. |
