Flopped a Straight

Should I have capped the flop? Or maybe 3-bet flop and check the turn and plan to raise the river?

Thanks.

Re: Flopped a Straight

Cap the flop, the called 3-bet on the flop may have him put you on a flush draw. Raise the turn can't let him draw to a 4 flush cheaply, if he 3-bets turn, call and call river. That's what I would do, but I'm not an expert.

I like the way you played it. Good hand.

Since you asked...

Doesn't matter, IMO.

Checking the turn with the plan to raise the river is horrible.

If the BB is extremely solid you might be better just calling the turn so that way he will keep betting KQ or KT (or check/call the river with it).

It's fine, you can use this laydown to your advantage on future hands to really keep him off balance.
