Well in a low limit game, you pretty much can assume a raise on that turn is low set or J with at least T kicker.

If MP2 has any idea what he's doing, he must have at least J9s or a full house (88 or 22). I'd check/call the river. If he's holding AJ or KJ, you may get raised on the river. As it stands, your nine is likely too weak.

If he _calls_ you on the river, you're still likely to be the loser (calls with QJs, JTs, or he's squeamish about his KJ -- they're all still winners).

If he's clueless, he could have filled up on the turn with J2 or J8.

If he's quite aggressive, he could be raising the turn with some pocket pair hoping that you were betting an 8 and are able to fold.

I really like your bet on the river after calling the turn

I've seen players raise here with an 8 or a possible bluff when the board pairs. Betting out and calling a raise garuntees he won't take the free showdown in case he has only an 8 or bluffed with Ace high. And because these players are often so passive they might not raise with a better jack fearing (unrightfully so) a better jack than theirs or a boat. I think betting and calling a raise is the best play here. A read would really help your descision though.

There is also a chance he has a worse kicker than yours and will wuss out and not bet the river. It isn't like he's really gone to war with you yet.
