Turning Stone

Going to Turning Stone this weekend. Probably arriving real late on Thursday night (midnight).

Couple of questions:

How are the games overnight (assuming this is a 24-hour casino)?

I am hoping to play 10-20 holdem or 15-30.

Will there be full games over night or does it die off?

Any thing else to do around there for a non-poker playing spouse? She plays slots a little, but will probably lose interest after a few hours.

Any other info is appreciated.

Thanks.

At some point during the weekend, I will be at turning stone for a little action... The last time I was there the 15-30 game went almost all-night... I think it broke at about 5am... and started back up at 9. I belive that was a monday night/tuesday morning. The smaller games go all night... On a holiday weekend I expect things will be pretty busy!

It is 24 hours and the games do slowly die down but there still are games running. The higher limits may die off but the lower limits and the NL tables always have degenerate gamblers playing. There are people there early in the morning on the weekends signing up for the tournament that runs each day. So ring games will be getting started and some will be going strong already at 9am. Oh, and teach your spouse how to play poker!

The smaller games run all night, there are often two or three 1-3 games going, one or two 3-6 games going, and a table or two of the 1-2 no limit. The 15-30 usually dies off at some point (2am maybe?).

By noon the place is going strong again.

One more note, I was there 2 weekends ago, and it was PACKED friday night. I got there at 8:30 and it was a 90 minute wait to get on the 1-2 NL. Waits for 3-6 and 5-10 were an hour or more. I don't play 15-30, but since people sit at that game for long periods usually, I'm guessing it's a considerable wait as well. There is rarely more than one 15-30 table going.

I notice on their website they mention having stud 8 tables. Does anyone have any info on their stud 8 games, what limits they usually run, what the action is like, etc. ?

I've seen them running bewtween 6-2 for sure. They may well run 24h but I wasn't paying much attention.
