Browsing the Barney's Christmas catalog today. Page 70, opposite a $500 cotton and cashmere blend sweater from Malo, is a "deluxe aluminum poker set" for $200.

Move your leather asses over, chumps, the chic and anorexic are on their way.

Any decent cashmere sweater should cost more than $500. Cotton blends are a joke.

I saw an ad for a 300 piece chip set with aluminum case for $80 in a Sharper Image catalogue. Looked like the same set you can find on ebay.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say Poker has Jumped the Shark. When you're local Sports Authority has moved the Air Hockey Tables over to Display "Texas Hold-em Tables" and "Phil Hellmuths Delux Texas Hold'em Pro Set" (250 dollars) You know it's become one of the new super fads.

Actually...the fact that poker lingo has invaded our culture is proof of shark jumpage. Along the same lines, that people know what I'm talking about when I'm talking about poker in common conversation(using poker lingo around non-poker players).

Poker langauge had been in our culture since before I was born (Note: I am over 5 years old). How could something jump the shark before it boomed?

You can say poker language has "been in our culture", but it has never been so as much as it is now, by a large margin.

Has any other presidential candidate been said to be "drawing to an inside straight" before this year?
