What does everyone use for their starting chip amounts and blind structures for a 9-10 player NL tourney home game?

For my upcoming tourney it is:

Buy in of $20 gets you 100T chips, Levels are half hour

5-10
15-30
25-50
50-100
150-300
200-400
300-600

We also have rebuys and an add-on, which all ends at the begining of the 4th level

For our one-table tournaments, we have $1000 in chips (8 $25s and 8 $100s) and have the blinds going up every 15 mins:

25/25

50/100
100/200
200/400
400/800 (although with six of us we've never got to this level yet)

Having loads of chips and 'awkward' blinds of, say, 75/150 just makes it difficult to count bets, stacks and pots. With a simpler structure you get to concentrate on the game rather than the running of it!

10 player - No Rebuys - amount to sit doesnt matter.

approx 3 to 4 hours

We give 5000 in chips with the following structure every 15 minutes

My favorite structure is to start with 500 or 1000 chips depending on how many chips you have available. Blinds are raised every half hour:

0:00 5/10
0:30 10/20
1:00 15/30
1:30 20/40
2:00 25/50
2:30 50/100
3:00 75/150
3:30 100/200
4:00 200/400

Usually with between 8 and 12 players we are done in just under 4 hours.

Blind schedules at home games are always a problem for me because the players at the home games I go to are pretty careless and clueless as to the importance of blind progression. Most of them just double the blinds every 15-20 minutes. The best blind schedule for a 10 man norebuy tournament are the sit-n-go schedules from Poker Stars or Paradise poker. The thing I like about these blinds is that they increase every ten hands, regardless of the time.
Otherwise, the blinds should go up quickly at first and then slow down torwards the end. Most blind schedules pay no attention to this and continually increase. This causes a quick cut-off of the short stacks and less skill towards the end. Tex Morgan's TEX TEARS is a mathematically derived blinds schedule for all different size tournaments and is available on different web sites

Why in the world would want a 10 person game go 3-4 hours. This is what a 30-40 person game should go. I like the following for a tourney rules and Blinds.

First, you have to determine how many chips you have in relation to the number of players you're expecting and work out either a starting stack of 100 chips, 1000 chips or whatever you believe will work best for your group.

Once you figure all of that out, you start with the first big blind that is 1/50th of your starting stack. Then determine when you want the tourney to end (3 hours, 4 hours, etc.) and make the big blind equal the average starting stack at that time. Then fill in the gap with smooth increasing blinds.

Example: 1000 chip buyin tournament lasting four hours
1. Make the first big blind = 20 (1/50 of the starting chip amount).
2. Make the big blind = 1000 (the starting chip amount) at the four hour mark.
3. Gradually increase your big blinds from 20 to 1000.
4. Add a couple levels above the 1000 big blind to be on the safe side.
