Popularity of 6max at Party

I log on to Party monday morning to check out the tournament schedule. As my usual 10/20 lists come up, I count 18 6-max tables going and only 1 10-player table.

Now to me it breaks many standard laws of business common sense that Party has as many players (and unique players they are) as it does. But why would a "non-standard" semi-shorthanded game be 18 times more popular than the standard game?

Any thoughts?

party earns more rake off the SH tables, as there are more of them.

This brings up a question. Schneids says the 15/30 game has a lot of ringers in it, thus making table selection important and probably implying that the game is not very soft. I wonder how much softer the 10/20 full game is and if it is beatable for enough more BB/100 to make up for the lower limit. (I know this is HUSH, but I don't read the mid/high stakes forums often.)

I've never played the 10/20 or the 15/30 games, but I seem to remember a few people saying the 15/30 full game was very soft (i.e. bicyclekick).

Who's right?

El Diablo posted that the 15 full was more profitable somewhere.

El Diablo said the 15/30 full game was more profitable than the 10/20 short game. I am curious if the 10/20 full game is sufficiently softer than the 15/30 game to either a. make it more profitable (in terms of $) or b. less variable. If both, great; if just the latter (or the former), then the quesion "Under what utility functions does the 10/20 game become the more desirable one?" comes to mind.

I doubt if the full 10/20 is softer than the 15/30 at all. There may be a bunch of good players who play the 15-30, but there are plenty of morons too. Granted, it's a different kind of idiot than you find at the lower limits (more aggressive), but comparing it to the 5-10 6max (which I have the most experience with), I'd say the differences between the two in terms of average player skill are negligible.
