Standard play or too aggressive?

Party 15/30 - Typical party player, a little too loose and aggressive raises in middle positon (MP), button calls 2 cold (not familiar with him), I call with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the small blind. 3 to the flop for 7 small bets.

Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

MP bets, button raises, I 3-bet, MP folds, button calls.

Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet and button folds.

Anybody play it differently?

I think you played it just fine. Trying to put button on a hand that he would call a raise with, but not reraise with to knock out the blinds -- 55, 77, 88 or JTs, J9s. Then the way the hand played out it looks like he has 77, 88 or let go of his top pair weak kicker after the the turn paired the board and put up a three flush. In any case, I like your three bet on the flop, and I think you don't want to give him a free shot on the river to fill up.

I use this play a lot, but started thinking maybe it makes it too easy for my opponent to fold if the flush card gets there on the turn.
