Re: Straightforward fold?

This hand demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of stack sizes. You folded for 300 more in a pot 1300, which in general is bad. You also did it to yourself. You cant put yourself in a spot like that. Either bet less on the flop, check fold, or set him all in. Dont leave yourself in this spot. The thought that he could reraise u should come into play...

Re: Straightforward fold?

Jason, what size bet on the flop would you think to be correct if I planned to fold to a checkraise? The player in question was pretty straightforward so folding the best hand wasn't "much" of a concern to me.

Re: Straightforward fold?

I sort of like a check. Its a gray area, but if you're going to fold to a raise you should bet smaller than 300, Like 150-200.
