Why Are They Raising So Much?

On the fox sports thing, with 1000/2000 bb Greenstein is raising to 10,000 and Doyle raised to 12,000. I thought most pro's raised like 2.5 bb. Does anyone know what is going on here?

Yeah. You're a tool who dates a 15 yr. old and doesn't know the first thing abpout poker.

But that's just my take on it.

Learn to type first, then insult.

The size of a bet does not always have to follow along 'well known' lines of increase.

Sometimes over betting or making weird bets can intice people to call thinking you really don't have a hand. I do that all the time, bet off-amounts. It either scares them away or they get suckered in.

With this many great players theyre going to have to mix it up a lot to try and keep each other guessing. What were theyre startings stack sizes?

Do you mean that Doyle raised it another $12K (to $22K)? (He wouldn't be able to raise it a mere $2K unless he were going all-in.)

Good morning...We're playing NO LIMIT poker. Please keep your chips and bankroll inside the table at all times. In the case of a bad all-in call, a buyin will drop out of the ceiling so you can "play behind."

Thank you for choosing 2+2. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi! Thanks for calling 2+2! We ask that before you act like an a$$ about someone else's post, that you stop and think it might be in reference to another post somewhere on this board! The gentleman in question was merely responding to a 21 year-old poster who inquired elsewhere about dating a 15 year-old...so his post was in-line. What you think of his typing sklls is, of course, your own opinion.

Thank you again for calling 2+2 forums! G-bye..

I'm still trying to figure out if the bit about dating a 15-year-old was a compliment or an insult, as a number of guys I know would consider it the former over the latter, but that's another (pathetic) story.

Gosh, you're so right...my typing skills should be up to par before actually having the temerity to insult someone. I'm ashamed at the attempt. My apologies.

Oh, and you're a tool, too.

Is that better?
