Re: What would you do?

well I would re-raise PF....

but as I told ya at the time, TPTK isnt really good in a 3 way pot esp after a raise, so I muck. You are in good shape, not a good time to risk ur stack.

Re: What would you do?

That's a tough fold. What do you put UTG+1 on? A 10? That's a pretty big PF raise. AA? Unlikely, and poorly played on the flop in my opinion. UTG+1's past play is important here. Has he been a bully with his big stack? From the little info we have here, that would be my read on this hand, and I think I push over the top of him on the flop, but I've been going bad lately. Good post.

Re: What would you do?

What scared me was that BB came out betting, I was more afraid of BB than UTG+1, simply because he called then bet, maybe TT or 99? On top of that the turn came a Q, so AQ in one of those hands most likely takes it down.

Re: What would you do?

I like the call preflop, tho I think many others would say raise. If blinds were bigger or stacks smaller then I push. I think a good UTG+1 would call you with most any holding he would raise with here, unless you are betting 1200 or so, and then you are putting too much of your stack in for the times he calls and you miss the flop, so better to push.

The BB is leading out on an ace board against a preflop raiser and caller. I figure its reasonably likely he has two pair or better with TT,99,ATs,A9s,T9s. Or he could have AQ, AJs, JJ, QQ. But since he will know that many people raise with Ax he is unlikely to lead raise and then call without a good hand. I think straight draws would want to check/call the flop.

So I think calling doesn’t hurt you that much and lets worse hands bluff you. Your minraise doesn’t give you much info as only a pure bluff might fold, so I might raise higher if you think he’s bluffing. If he reraises, then you are probably beat, but there’s not much you can do since you have a great hand, and these blinds/stacks demand playing TPTK fairly strongly.

If you are willing to get all your chips in, then this is one spot where check/calling might be better than raising yourself, since it gives the AQ/AJ/JT/QQ hands a chance to bluff you. And you may lose less when beat.
