KJs from button

I think this one's pretty standard. I'm wondering about preflop and flop play mostly.

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks,

Should I raise this PF?

Flop: (5 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, MP1 folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls.

I think this is a pretty obvious raise, since I likely have the best hand and I want to protect it.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Obvious.

River: (6.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Obvious.

Final Pot: 8.50 BB
Main Pot: 8.50 BB, between Hero and UTG. > Pot won by Hero (8.50 BB).

Results in white below:
UTG shows Qh Jc (two pair, jacks and sixes).
Hero shows Jh Kh (two pair, jacks and sixes).
Outcome: Hero wins 8.50 BB.

Basically pretty solid?

Raise preflop. Rest is fine.

Calling preflop is profitable, raising preflop is more profitable.

preflop: on the button, I'd definitely raise this.

I'd play the rest of the hand the same.

Some times, but not too often. Exceptions to this would be if the blind are realy tight and the UTG limper is limping in with hands that should not be played in EP.

I like the raise on the flop.

This is way too passive.

It's a pretty damn strong multiway hand with high card value and excellent position. Given party .5/1, raising this 100% of the time in this situation is pretty close to optimal.

It took me a long time to learn stuff like this, from reading good player's posts and so on, but a lot of this is explicitly spelled out in Ed's new book. If you haven't ordered it, order it now.

It really boils down what you should be worried about in the clearest language of any 2+2 book I've read (and I own about 8 of them).

Ed\'s Book??

Hi, you said something about "Ed's new book". Who is Ed? What book is this? Thanks in advance for the info!
