Jim Rogers article

Rogers says many things. This scares me the most:

"I suspect there will be exchange controls in the US in the foreseeable future."

That may not shock most of you as you have not experienced it but exchange controls occur only when a social and political system collapses. If you can read spanish check out Argentine sites clarin.com or lanacion.com to see what I mean. Not as good but in english http://www.buenosairesherald.com/.

bet on the \"house\"

here is a way to play the commodities AND bet on the house....cme

this is a low float, fast growing two year old public co that i can see spliting oh 4 or 5 times in the next decade, i think i may just throw a couple ira grand at it and forget about it for a decade or so. it seems to fit the bill quite nicely, any thoughts?

its s worst case scenario of course but it could happen. I think the u.s. stock market is a bit risky overall and the economy isn't as good as the media is reporting.

rogers is great. but he is a total contrarian and always seems to think everything is about to cave in. thats what i see. i used to follow alot of what he did as he found little stocks in way out places of the world that no one yet looked at. he made his money from having a hedge fund with george soros.
